Dear Friends,

Do we need 'as' in the following:

I do not see it as necessary that you should be a good dancer.

Thank you.

Hello, Csika.

(1) I found your question very interesting.

(2) That little word "as" gives us a lot of problems.

(3) May I share my thoughts?

Tom: Is it necessary that I should be a good dancer?

Martha: I do not find it necessary. = Sounds fine to me.

I do not consider it necessary. = Sounds fine to me.

I do not see it necessary. = Sounds "strange" to me.

I do not see it as necessary. = Sounds fine to me.

I do not see it as being necessary. = Sounds really nice to me.

After consider and fine, you do not need as, but you need as after

see. Why? I do not know grammar well enough to answer that

question. Hopefully, someone will.

Thank you

Thank you very much TheParser.
