I had my hat blown [off /away/out] by a strong wind.
My hat was blown [off/away/out] by a strong wind.

In the sentences above, I think "off" and "away" are fine. But what about "out"?
I did some searching on Google, but that didn't make me sure if "out" was right or wrong.

It's wrong.

It's right only if you put your hat in your head before you go out of the house. Of course, situational context matters as well. With no more information, the statement "I had my hat blown out by a strong wind" seems strange, but now that I think about it... it would make sense if you yourself were in something, like for instance a car.
