  1. "The way lions walk is quite intimidating."
  2. "The way a lion walks is quite intimidating."

I believe both of the above sentences mean the same thing, that being said, I'm quite curious to know if...

"I like short women." and "I like a short woman."

Can be used to generalise your particular taste? I'm aware that "I like a short Woman." is used to talk about a specific person but i've also heard it being used in the same way as the first sentence.

What are your thoughts about this?

Before we reply, please edit your post so that the common noun "woman" is not capitalised.

It could be used in general when commenting about an individual who was passing- an example. (I am commenting about the language not the content.)

I believe [STRIKE]both of[/STRIKE] the [STRIKE]above[/STRIKE] sentences above mean the same thing. That being said, I'm quite curious to know if the following two sentences can be used to generalise your particular taste?

3. "I like short women." [STRIKE]and[/STRIKE]
4. "I like a short woman."

[STRIKE]Can be used to generalise your particular taste?[/STRIKE]

I'm aware that "I like a short woman no full stop here" is used to talk about a specific person but I've also heard it being used in the same way as [STRIKE]the first[/STRIKE] in sentence 3.

What are your thoughts about this?

Note my corrections above.

It can be used to express a general taste. For example, I might say "I do love a pizza!"

Yes, both of your sentences can be used to express your fondness for short women in general.
