The situation: Somebody gave me an advice yesterday. So which is the right tense to use in this case:
I took your advice and ...
I have taken your advice and ...
I takes your advice and ...
 
The situation: Somebody gave me [STRIKE]an[/STRIKE] some advice yesterday. So which is the right tense to use in this case:
I took your advice and ...:tick:
I have taken your advice and ...:tick:
I takes your advice and ...:cross:
Please review the first-person singular of take. However, although option three will be grammatically correct after you fix the conjugation error, we wouldn't use the present simple in the situation you've described.
