I'm at the airport. I say:

I'm at/in the baggage claim.

Are both okay?

In BrE, it's "I'm in baggage reclaim" or "I'm in the baggage hall".

In AmE we often say, I am "at" baggage claim.

But "in" wouldn't be wrong.

I don't think many would think at is wrong in BrE, though in is the one we generally use.

This is the first time I've come back to this thread since I made my post earlier. I was absolutely convinced that I had said that we say "I'm at baggage reclaim". I was genuinely shocked to see that my post read "in baggage reclaim".

I would like to make it quite clear now that, in my opinion, in BrE, we say either "I'm at baggage reclaim" or "I'm in the baggage hall".

I'd use in for the room and at for the carousel.
