The sentece goes like this: My sister is moving to London next sunday, that's why she ____ (be) so irritable these days. It's a big change, try to understand.
I'm wondering if it's is being or has been? Only present tenses can be used. I personally think it's is being because of these days. But I'm not sure..

Say:

My sister is moving to London next Sunday. That's why she is so irritable nowadays.

But are any of these 2 options possible?

is being is the clear favourite.

I mean it is an annoying habit and temporary behaviour which fits a type of use in present continuous. Right?

I would. Either one works, but the "is being" is showing the continuing state.

Thank you all! Open to hear some more opinions purely out of interest :)

Note my corrections to your four posts above.

I was being casual. 😂 thanks though

You can be as casual as you like with your friends and in informal writing outside this forum. However, please remember that this is a teaching/learning forum. We encourage all users to write in complete sentences and use appropriate punctuation.

Alright, thanks.

The first thing that came to my mind was is, but is being also works. I don't think has been goes well with these days. If you want to use has been, then you'd need a different time phrase, like lately or these last few days.
