Hi, all,

For the following sentence:

"This is one of my preferred brands", does it mean "this is one of the brands I ever USED" or "this is one of the brands I LIKE"?

Is "prefer" more attitudinal as "like" or behavioral as "use/choose"?

Thanks,
Adam

It means it's one you like.

If you have a choice among many things, this is one of the ones you would choose. You prefer it over many of the others.
