Hello everyone,
From the book Choose Your Story, Change Your Life by Kindra Hall.
You’ve likely heard that the number-one thing couples argue about is money, and I’ll be honest, it has long been a point of friction in my own household. My husband and I have entirely different beliefs when it comes to how money should be used. These beliefs are built on a lifetime of stories. Our childhoods were, in very general terms, similar; we were both raised in middle-class, two-parent households. Neither were rich, neither were poor; both families were always conscientious about money going in and money going out. Yet Michael’s stories make him much more inclined to keep money close, and my stories have propelled me to send money out, like a fisherman casting a line, to see what comes back in. There have been countless occasions, big and small, where the clash of our beliefs in this area has caused tension.
Would it be correct to say that "keep money close" means keep money at home and "send money out" means invest money?
