A group of people taking so loudly in Starbucks, and I couldn’t stand any longer. I walked up to them and said:

Could you please keep your voice low!

Is my sentence natural?

Could you please keep your voice down?

The first sentence is ungrammatical.

We can ask people to lower their voices, but we ask them to keep their voices down.

I suspect @Skrej meant to write "We can't ask people to lower their voices, but we can ask them ... etc". :)

I suspect Skrej wrote what they mean to write. it makes perfect sense.

No, I meant to say 'can'. I'm referring to volume, not pitch, if that's what you're getting at.
