Which sentence is grammatically accurate and natural and preferred by the native speakers of English?

1. He needs to fix the leaky faucet/tap.
2. He needs to fix the leaking faucet/tap.

And is it called a faucet or a tap in Canada?

I prefer 1 over 2 but that's a personal preference. As Piscean said, they're both grammatically correct. Of course, here in the UK, we use only "tap", never "faucet".
