Malcolm had been the first of the youngest Young brothers to get into a band when, in 1971, he joined the unpromisingly named Beelzebub Blues, bashing out livewire versions of songs like Joe Cocker’s ‘The Letter’ and jamming on regular 12-bar blues standards.
Mick Wall, "Hell Ain't A Bad Place To Be"
1. What does "livewire versions" mean in other words?
2. Does "bashing out" and "jamming" refer to Malcolm or the band?
