Dear all,

Greetings!

My question is what's the difference between 'Log in' and 'Sign in' ?

Seems the former is always used in a bbs, while the latter could be seeing when I check my mailbox...

Thanks in advance :)

There is none.

Like so many other computer terms, authorization on a system borrowed a metaphor from what people did to register for access to a restricted facility in the pre-computer age. The creators of different systems picked the specific metaphor.

What's a "bbs"?

Ah, thanks. I was on the forum on my phone so it was a lot quicker to ask the question than to exit the forum, get into Google on my phone, wait for the signal to sort itself out and then finally look it up!

Your thanks are appreciated, but you don't need to send them in a separate post or to quote our replies back to us.
