I heard the following dialogue from a moive, however I could'nt hear it very clearly. Could anybody tell me which of the following is correct, please?

1. Danny's medicine's in his backpack. He takes them every night.
2. Danny's medicines're in his backpack. He takes them every night.

Thanks.

'Them' in the second sentence tells us that 'medicines' must be the plural form - as in #2.
