[General] Meeting salutations and parting salutations

case 1 :-
If I meet a person at 1 pm and leave him at 2 pm then my meeting salutation will be good afternoon but what will be my parting salutation ?
1:-good afternoon
2:-good evening
3:-good night

case 2 :- If I meet a person at 4 pm and leave him at 5 pm then what will be my meeting and parting salutations ?

1:-Good afternoon,good evening
2:-good afternoon,good night
3:-good evening,good night

Sir ,It will be more beneficial if you had answered from the options as saying goodbye is to circumvent the proper use of parting salutations.

What if your options are not commonly used except for an initial greeting? Would it not interest you to know that?
But 2pm and 5pm are both still in the afternoon, and it would not actually be wrong to say "Good afternoon" when leaving someone in the afternoon. However, you are most certainly wrong when you say that saying goodbye circumvents the proper use of parting salutations.

We generally only use "Good morning/afternoon/evening" as greeting salutations. "Goodnight" is a parting salutation. Our standard parting salutation is simply "goodbye". That is what we say. It might not fit in with your test but be assured that that is how native speakers use the language.
