Most important of all, I think, is that we should be interested in it.


Since "most" here is used to form the superlative, why is there no "the" for the underlined part? Thanks!

The phrase is an adverb, not an adjective.

Most importantly (of all), I think we should...
The most important factor of all is that we should...

not a teacher
 
"Most important" works just fine.
