I posted two pictures with the same image in my online group and then I added "My dad and I use a different phone" because one picture is far better than the other one with higher definition. Is my italic sentence natural?

I would find your sentence a bit odd if there were no other explanation for why you were telling people that. I'd say something like "The picture on the right is far higher quality because I have a better phone than my dad!"
