I saw (would it be better to say "I've seen"?) the following phrase in a class book:

"Next week, I go to Germany".

Is it correct?

"I saw" is fine. "Next week, I go to Germany" is OK-ish I suppose. I would prefer, "..., I'm going to Germany".
