Hello,
I was continuing a bad habit of saying "now I got it" after you I checked your answers to my questions.
But some minutes ago one of the native English speakers told me not to say "now I got it" but say "now I get it"

Would you please clarify it to me a little more?
I mean, is "now I got it" really incorrect? Doesn't it mean "now I have understood it"?
Before, I thought that: "now I got it" = "now I have understood it"
Any thoughts?

Thank you

In which thread was that?

I am curious. You replied to the correction, "Oh, I didn't know that. Thanks for correction". Why are you now questioning this in another forum? Would it not be more logical to question it in that forum?

The moderators don't allow members to ask different questions in one thread. That's why I decided to ask it here.
You know why I asked it here? Because I asked this question in the previous forum too but one native English said both are correct and one said "I got it now" is incorrect.
Because if two opposite answers I decided to ask it here too and see what you think about the two expressions.

"Now I got it" is wrong in my opinion. "Now I've got it" and I've got it now" are possible, as is "Now I get it".

Ok, thank you. Then I will never use "now I got it"
I didn't know that bhaisahab. Thank you.

Hello again,

Now I understood it

Is incorrect too. Right?

'Now I understand' is far more natural.
