on/onto the table

Hello!

Could you please tell me which one is correct:

1. She got up on the table and danced samba.
2. She got up onto the table and danced samba.

Thank you in advance :)
 
You can use either, but say '...danced a samba.'

And don't say, "She got up and danced onto the table".
