On the front / back row In the first/ second/fifth row

When talking about seats in the theatre should we say:
1) Our seats are IN or ON the front/back row.
2) Our seats are IN or ON the first/second/fifth row.
Or both?

No, it's just "We have front row seats."

As an additional note to what I just wrote in post #4, if there had been a choice between front row and second row seats and you were asked which you'd chosen, you could then say "We have the front row seats." Context would make this natural.

Otherwise, to say "We have the front row seats." might sound as if you have the entire front row.

Yes. I always have and I always will. I see no reason to change, though I'm clearly in a minority.
