I saw an essay and the writer used "on the other side of spectrum." Does it have a similar meaning to "on the other hand."

No. At least, it shouldn't. Can you offer us the phrase as it was in context, please?

Remember to always tell us where you see/hear any piece of language you ask about.

Thank you. Sorry, I cannot remember the context. However, I came across a phrase similar to "on the other hand of spectrum" which is "on the opposite side of the spectrum" I think it means on the other hand.

The context is " On the opposite side of spectrum, other means exist if an individual wants to improve his language abilities." from a Youtube video.

It does not mean on the other hand.

We use on one hand / on the other hand when weighing up two sides of an equation, an example of which could be talking about the pros and cons of doing something.

A 'spectrum' is a way to refer to a gradation of change, the most illustrative example being the colours of the rainbow, where red is at one end and blue is at the other.

The student's phrase on the opposite side of the spectrum is incorrect for several reasons. You should not use it.
