Is the first "mind" intellectual ability?
Is the second "minds" intellectual people or intellectual ability again?
I'm confused. Please help me!

ex)..Michel de Montaigne says "the most fruitful of our mind is conversation. I find the practice of it the most delightful activity in our lives."..."If I am fighting with a strong and solid opponent, he will attack me; his ideas send mine soaring.Rivalry, competitiveness and glory will drive me and raise me above my level. Our mind is strengthened by contact with dynamic and well-ordered minds."

You dropped a few words out of the quote, which I googled:
"the most fruitful and natural exercise of our mind is conversation"

The two instances of mind you underlined both refer to "intellectual ability".

Then, does the second minds mean plural intellectual abilities or the general idea of intellectual ability?

"intellectual ability" of many different people

we are encountering other people, but metaphorically we are encountering their minds
