What is the difference between "out of the question" and "out of question"? I remember learning in a grammar book that "out of the question" is "impossible", while "out of question" is no doubt. And I found another opinion that "out of queston" has disppeared. So what is the case?

I know 'beyond question' and 'out of the question', but I have not encountered 'out of question'.

Out of the question' has 1,026 citations in COCA, 'out of question' only three.
