I want to teach sport related vocabulary. Seeing different examples, I found that for team sports like football, volleyball, etc, the verb play is used as a collocation like play football. However, for individual sports like yoga and jogging either -ing or 'do' is used. For those sports ending in -ing we can use go like 'go swimming. For others, we use 'do' like do gymnastics.
