@Gillnetter

sir it means that following sentence is not correct?..but why ?it also seems correct?......please tell me the difference between this n the other ones in my question

.......The date has not fixed......(date has not fixed yet).......:roll:

The date is fixed by someone. The date cannot fix a date!

So you cannot say: The date has not fixed.

You say 'the date has not been fixed' (by somebody).

not a teacher

@Gillnetter..........@tedtmc

could u please explain it a little more......i am still not getting it.....:-:)roll:

A date cannot do something.

I have not fixed the problem yet. :tick: -> I can do something.
The date has not fixed the problem yet. :cross: -> A date cannot fix a problem.
(A date is a thing, and things can't do anything.)

I have not fixed the date yet. :tick:
The date has not been fixed yet. :tick:
The date has not been fixed by me yet. :tick:

Someone has to fix a date -> that's why you need been.

**Neither a teacher nor a native speaker.**

Cheers!
