Hi all,

I would like to know the meaning of "She's one well to see". This line is from Alicia Keys's song, Girlfriend.
Does it mean she's fun/nice to hang out with?

Thank you!

Djoncarlo

Hi there Djoncarlo!

Well I couldn't make out the meaning of the lyrics you supplied, so I listened to the song and she is actually singing "She's the one who helped you see."

I hope this helps!

Hi TMF,

Here is the lyrics I got from a lyrics website.

You said that she's one well to see
How deep you're in love with me
And intentions were not to get inbetween
But I see possibilities

I have listened to it many times. it really said "You're one well to see". Is it possible that this song has different versions?

By the way, thanks for your reply!

Djoncarlo

Hi TMF,

Ahh... i tried listening to it again... and yes, you are right! I was misled by the lyrics posted on the Internet.
That's why I didn't understand it.

Thank you so much!

Best,
Djoncarlo

I've tried listening to the song:-? and I'd say it's impossible to say exactly what she is singing. If she is singing this, "You said that she's one well to see", it is meaningless. (Not too surprising, really.)

Lyrics on the internet are often generated by computer and may be inaccurate.

right. it's difficult to make out what she's singing. Thanks to TMF, now everything makes sense. :)

ahh... didn't know that. I've always thought someone typed it out and uploaded to the Internet. Silly me. :)
