Hello

I have a little question about phrase "queue on". Could you please help me?
I've read in the dictionary that there is a verb phrase "to queue on" meaning to take a place in a queue. But after searching google I haven't found any mention of this idiom. Is the phrase "queue" correct? Is it suitable for using in usual life?

Best regards,
Igor

Thank you Matthew

I know that "queue up" is used quite often, but what about "queue on"?

In which dictionary did you find 'queue on'? Might it be something like 'people queue on the street'?

You need to be using English dictionaries, such as OneLook.com, which searches dozens of free online dictionaries.

Thanks, so am I right that "queue on" means nothing?

It can be used in the sense that Matthew proposed in post #4.
