Hello.

What's the difference between a reminder and an advice?
If so, Why would some foreigners regard an advice "gratifying" and a reminer "rude"? After all, they both tell you something

A reminder is to bring something to your mind again.

"It's the end of the month, remember to turn in your reports."

Advice is a suggestion about how you should do something or live your life.

"You should give up on being an actor and get a real career."

"If it floats or flies, rent, don't buy."

Most people don't mind being reminded of something they wanted to remember or do. Most don't like being told what to do or how to live their life, especially if the advice is unsolicited.

So advices begin with should/if?

Well, my advice is to not limit the language so much. The advice given to me years ago was valuable. The nun reminded me to not attempt to advise people to stop swimming. I wish that I had taken her advice. Note that the plural of advice is advice.
So you-like me- also think that advice is like a reminder?

No, not at all. I can give you advice on how to drive a truck and remind you to take your medicine in the morning - they are not the same thing. To give advice is a form of instruction, to remind is to tell someone that something has to be done.

So why some people dislike a remider if it is not an instruction? And how is an advice bearing on an instruction

I don't know that people dislike a reminder. You, for example, can remind your sister to renew her driver's license. That is not instruction, it is merely telling her that her license is about to expire and she should get a new one.

I will give you some advice on truck driving. I will show and tell you exactly how to shift the two transmission levers at the same time. In addition, I will give you advice on what truck stops have the best food.

Advice and reminders are different things.

But both tell people of something
