Hi guys,

Is it a correct sentence "We are short paid by 2 dollars". What would be the correct sentence?

My pay was short $2.
My pay was short two dollars.

I am not a teacher.

If you are really talking about remuneration for work done then I would use underpaid.

If you were cheated in a transaction I would use short-changed.

So we can say "Our pay is short $2" means you paid us 2 dollars less or we are underpaid for 2 dollars.

So we can say "Our pay is short $2" means you paid us 2 dollars less than we were due or we are underpaid for 2 dollars.

Yes.
