Before them the turf, dotted with white flowers, sloped down to the brow of a cliff.

What does the sentence mean in red?

Book:The Horse and His Boy
Author: C.S. Lewis

Which words were confusing you, Polyester?

I have to say it must be taking you a really long time to read this book. You seem to querying almost every sentence.

I sincerely hope that Polyester is already using a good quality dictionary before coming to us for help.

Polyester, if you look at the sentence to mean that the cliff was similar to a human head, the flowers sloped down to the level of the eyebrows.
