Lan is staying ... her aunt's house in Hanoi now.
A. in B. on C. with D. at
I chose D but the key is A. So what is the best choice? Please help me

I'd use "at" in that sentence, but I'd really say "Lan is staying with her aunt."

Note that "aunt's" needs an apostrophe.

D is the best answer. A is acceptable but it sounds almost as though she cannot leave the house. John is staying in the jail until next week because he was accused of theft - he has little choice. John is staying at the jail because there are no other places for him to sleep - he does have a choice. My understanding of this matter may differ from others around the world.
