c. I am thinking of the brother of hers who is a pilot.
d. I am thinking of the brother of her who is a pilot.

Which of the above sentences are grammatically correct?

I am sure (a) is correct.

I think (c) is incorrect, and I have strong doubts about (b) and (d).

Teechar, you are right. I'd say 'a brother of mine'. I don't know why I thought when 'the' came in things changed!
