Could you tell me please if it should be "the conquest by Rus vikings"?

At the turn of the century, the Grand Prince had been in power for 20 years and ruled over a kingdom known as Kievan Rus which had emerged after the conquest of Rus vikings.

It depends. Were the Rus vikings the ones doing the conquering or did someone else conquer them? (I don't have time to watch the video to find out.)

These historical details are not discussed in that video anyway, but actually it's the former.

A quick bit of research seems to suggest that the Rus vikings were a group of loosely organized, mostly autonomous tribes. The Kievan Rus consolidated and organized them more firmly into one political entity.

Ergo, the Rus vikings were the conquered, not the conquers. So the original 'of the Rus vikings' is correct.

As far as I know, Vikings were Scandinavian tribes that made raids to various lands, and the territories of Kiev were where Slavic tirbes lived.

I'm not terribly well versed on the history of the region, but if I recall correctly, the Rus were a particular tribe or band of Vikings who originated in Scandinavia, but traveled far enough south and east that they eventually just permanently settled into what eventually became Russia, Ukraine, and Belarus alongside other indigenous Slavic tribes.

Much the same happened in what we now refer to as the UK, as well as parts of western Europe. Viking raiders ended up settling in the area instead of returning home, intermingling with local tribes.

If it were the Rus vikings who were conqured, I think a most essential piece of information would be revealed - who were the conquerers.
Wikipedia on Foundation of the Kievan state has to say this:

According to the Primary Chronicle, in 880–82, Oleg led a military force south along the Dnieper river, capturing Smolensk and Lyubech before reaching Kiev, where he deposed and killed Askold and Dir: "Oleg set himself up as prince in Kyiv, and declared that it should be the "mother of Rus' cities."[79][f] Oleg set about consolidating his power over the surrounding region and the riverways north to Novgorod, imposing tribute on the East Slav tribes.[70]

Oleg was a Viking prince.

I know a little about this period of history. It was definitely the Vikings who were the conquerors.

... after the conquest of the Rus Vikings ...

I don't have a problem, either, with using of to show that it was the Rus' conquest in the sense that they were the victors.
