To me, the "discovered" part is pronounced like "discover".

1. How is the "discovered" part pronounced to you?
2. Is it fine to pronounce the "discovered" part like "discover"?

To me, the "discovered" part is pronounced like "discover".
No, they aren't exactly the same.

Why don't you look up the two words? You'll find audio files on the net.

The last syllable of "discover" is pronounced "vuhr".
The last syllable of "discovered" is pronounced "vuhd".

I have looked up the two words. The last syllable of "discovered" should be pronounced "vuhd". However, it seems to me that the voice-over pronounces the "discovered" part like "discover".

They're pronounced differently.

The last syllable of "discover" is pronounced "vuhr".
The last syllable of "discovered" is pronounced "vuhd".
In most versions of BrE, the final vowel of these two words is the same. Discover has no final /r/.

This native speaker does not agree.

The final /d/ of discovered is neither voiced nor released; it is assimilated into the initial /d/ of techniques.
It's hard for me to see the difference between the two, but OK. I am not a linguist, but I'd say that's very common in speech.
