[Grammar] to make sure + future/+ present

Hello,

In this sentence, are we supposed to use the present simple, future simple or either, please?

"To make sure this course lasts until the end of the year, we will plan only one lesson per week. "

To make sure this course will last until the end of the year, we will plan only one lesson per week."
