Hello everybody ;-)

our teacher gave us a homework today , it is about the tragedy of Hamlet
should i say " it about how prince hamlet took a revenge from his uncle Claudius"
or " it about how prince hamlet took a revenge on his uncle Claudius"

You don't take a revenge - you simply take revenge on someone.

Hamlet took revenge on his uncle, Claudius.

You can say take revenge on(or against) some one or take revenge for something; as:

It is about how prince hamlet took revenge on/against his uncle Claudius. (no article before revenge)
It is about how prince hamlet took revenge for the death of his father.

This may be more information than you want :oops: but the subject of your post suggests you may have come across the word 'avenge'. Hamlet avenged his father by taking revenge on Claudius..
