Hi,
I have learned that, first form should be used after do and does. But heard someone using ' do you went there ' ? Is the sentance correct? I used to say 'did you go there?' in this context.

Please guide me.
Thanks in advance

You were correct. You should start saying that again. ("I used to" means you don't do something anymore. I don't think you mean that.)

Never put a space after an opening quotation mark or before a closing one.

Thank you. Let me ask you one more doubt? How can i expresss something done habitually?
( As you corrected 'used to' means that something don't do anymore)
I have been using Did you go there? Is this correct?

(As you [STRIKE]corrected[/STRIKE] pointed out 'used to' [STRIKE]means that[/STRIKE] is for something we don't do anymore)

Should I say: "I have been using Did you go there?

Not quite. The present perfect continuous does not always include the present - it can refer to a time period starting in the past up to (but excluding) the present.

What you need is the present simple. Try:
I normally say "Did you go there?"

You can say "I am used to saying/hearing "Did you go there?" There, "I am used to ..." means "I am accustomed to ...".

Thank you:up:

Ammys, just for your reference, you don't need to write a post to thank someone on the forum. Clicking Like/Thank suffices. :)
