using "came in less than 24" in sentence

The first job offer came in less than 24 h after my announcement

Please let me know if the sentence above is correct.
 
If you put a period (full stop) after "announcement" it will be just fine.

Write "24 hours" or, if you prefer, "twenty-four hours". There's no reason to abbreviate "hours".
 
Right. There's no such thing as "24 h."
