Is there any difference between "Venue for" and "Venue of'.

1) Venue of meeting is ......
2) Venue for the meeting is....

You need "The" before "venue" in both sentences, and also before "meeting" in the first.

I prefer "for" but I wouldn't say "of" is wrong.

I suggest you provide complete sentences in your examples. Sometimes the omitted words may be important. Have you omitted the name of a city? Or a reference to a particular meeting room?

I want to inform someone about the meeting room in our office.

The venue for the scheduled meeting will be board room No. - 85, 4th floor, A2 Building.

On internet, both versions are available i.e "venue for" and "venue of". I am confused when to use which one. As you said "venue for" is more preferable, I will use it in future.

You could also make it simpler and say "The meeting will be held in the boardroom/in room number 85 on the fourth floor". :)

You don't need "scheduled" by the way. That's understood.
