Hello All,
The file that was attached is the lecture on Rover Robot.(on the line 10)
I am really confused about "back on earth".
I don't know if worn back is a phrasal verb?or back on earth is getting together?
What is the meaning of "back on earth ?"

Thanks.

Thanks.

It's too small to read, but I can tell you that "worn back" is not a phrasal verb and "back" goes with "on earth" in your example. "back on earth" probably means "on having returned to earth".

Thanks so much for your reply. And sorry about that.

No, "back" is not a verb in that text.

I am not a teacher.

The word 'back' could be removed without significantly affecting the meaning.

It is an adverb and refers to a place that has been previously left, whether explicitly mentioned or understood implicitly. It is often used in the phrase 'back home'.

In your example it's 'back on earth', the place that the robot came from.

No. It is "worn by someone" who is "back on earth". "Back" here is used to denote geographical distance. From the speaker's point of view, earth is quite a long way back/a long way away.

"I live in London but my family still live back in Manchester." This suggests that I used to live in Manchester but I have left
