Hello!

Here is a part of the article about stress:
...There is one pattern to them all. Arousal, increasing tension and exhilaration leading to a resolution of the experience. By these activities we learn to survive. They toughen us up and help us to cope.
Yet nowadays, while every emphasis is placed on stressing the body to achieve physical fitness, stressing the brain is avoided. We are into mind flab in a big way.

Please, explain how do you understand the last sentence.

Thank you!

'Flab' is lack of physical tone. A person gets flabby before they're plain fat. 'We are into' is a rather arch way of saying 'people are getting/developing/becoming...'. Given that info, have another go at working out what the whole thing means. (I'm not being nasty, I just think it's clear enough for you to guess the rest ;-))
