Dear teachers, is the sentence "What date is it today?" a correct one? I already know "What's the date today?"is correct.

In AmE "What date is it today?" is so uncommon I'm tempted to call it unnatural. On the other hand "What's the date today?" is very common.

Dear teachers Unnecessary. Just go straight in with your question.

Is the sentence "What date is it today?" a correct? one? I already know "What's the date today?"is correct.

Note my changes above. You're not writing a letter so there's no need to start with "Dear + ...". Don't forget that not everyone answering questions here is a teacher.
Keep it short and to the point. Simply use "Is XXX correct?"
