I'd like that someone let me know what are these a few lines which carry information about the poster in the up right corner of every post, called in English?

your details, personal information

That's your profile.
"On this forum, the posts have a short poster profile on each post."
"If your profile details are incorrect, please change them."

I knew it was my profile. I can edit my profile whenever I want, using the User Control Panel.
That wasn't what I asked.

What is this called in English as a part of the screen, page?

Could this be called "header", a "sidebar"? Probably not.

Thanks

Sorry. They are <div> fields in an html <table>. The table doesn't seem to have a name; nor does this field.

I think these pages (this software) are not written like html ones but in another IT language.

Anyway, why there, in the right up corner, is

Interested in Language. and not

Interested in the language.

Thanks

Do you? It looks like html to me.

Looks like.
Are you sure that java or some other type of scripts are not present in the lines?

Anyway, I haven't got the answer on my question.

Why "Interested in Language." and not

Interested in the language.

No, I just copied from the View\Source of Internet Explorer. Otherwise I have no idea what language the site is written in.

I don't know. I didn't write the profile options.

Why "Interested in Language." and not

Interested in the language.

NOT A TEACHER.

Perhaps because "language" refers to any language, not just English, although if this is the case it would probably be better to write "interested in languages."

Another possibility is the fact that articles are often left out in titles and headings.

But what is grammatically correct?
Interested in Language or
Interested in the language.

Hadn't we already mastered that these a few lines of a code did not represent neither a heading nor a title.

I think, in tables, different rules are in charge.
Is this written this way because of that?

No. Language (non-count) is the phenomenom of communication A language (pl. languages) is that communication system used by a particular group of people. The right word was selected for the choice in our profiles.

So if I wanted to say I'm interested in the way people communicate, I would say I'm interested in language? And if I wanted to say I'm interested in the similarities and differences among languages, I would say I'm interested in languages?
