Appearing in an article about aspirating smoke detectors, the sentence is "The capillary tubes can be flush terminated or easily hidden within features such as light fittings on the ceiling because the sampling tubes are so small."

Can anyone help out and, if possible, even provide a sample sentence with the expression?

Many thanks in advance!

Flush terminated
Where the capillary tubes end at the fitting, they do not jut out but are level with the surface, hence are hardly noticeable. This makes for better aesthetics.
The conventional smoke detectors are separate fittings, shaped like a disc, mounted to the ceiling and are quite noticeable.
