You can't really say "more correct". Something is either correct or it's not. It may contain some correct elements and some incorrect elements but one thing cannot be more correct than another.

We call such adjectives absolute. Other absolute adjectives are, for example:

- unique
- supreme
- finite

Absolute adjectives are those which cannot be gradated. You cannot be more unique than someone else. You can be either unique (the only one of your kind) or not. Emsr2d2 said that "correct" is an absolute adjective, which means it cannot be gradated. Therefore, "more correct" and "correcter" are both incorrect. Some people might disagree with this, but even those people would never use "correcter". It is a very unusual form. Those people would use "more correct".

PS: I have just found out that the term "absolute adjective" may be used in another sense. They shouldn't be confused. The other sense can be found here.

As I said, something is either correct or it isn't.

However, with precise, you can use "more" or "less". You can't say "preciser".

- How much is that car?
- About 5000 pounds.
- Can you be more precise please? Exactly how much is it?
- It is 4995 pounds.

- How big is your room?
- It's one metre and 47 centimetres across and two metres and 51 centimetres long.
- You could have been less precise! You could have just told me it was quite big!

PS 'Correct' [in your subject line] can't - like some other adjectives - be used to make a noun. So, given two possibilties, the question should be 'Which [[one]/of these two] is correct? or 'Which is the correct one/sentence/choice/<some-noun>?. (This is quite a confident question, as it implies that one of them is;-))
