Could you say if the expression "which were my favourite nuts and still are" is OK?
2) Five years ago, I flew to Europe to visit my brother, named Sasha. When I arrived, he gave me a dozen walnuts, which were my favourite nuts and still are

Perhaps: "Five years ago, I flew to Europe to visit my brother, Sasha.When I arrived he gave me a dozen walnuts, my favorite nuts."

You can say, "which were (and still are) ...." However, I wouldn't use it there.

Did you write those sentences yourself? If so, why did you number the example "2"? What happened to "1"? If you didn't write them yourself, you need to tell us the source and author.
