Word that is more upset than upset?

Hello,

I'm wondering if you get told to try and not be too upset (as a joke), what word could you use instead of upset as a reply to make out they would be more upset, e.g. try and not be too distraught.

Suggest you use your favorite search engine for synonyms.
 
"Livid" is a good one.
 
It depends whether you mean upset (sad) or upset (angry).

More than angry = livid, furious, seething.
More than sad = devastated, crushed.
