If it's OK to use "would" with stative verbs to talk about temporary actions with "sometimes", "often" and "usually" as in "She would often forget her students' names, can I also use "would" for habits with "often", "sometimes" and "usually"? For example "I would often smoke under this tree in our garden. It was my favourite place." Or "I would sometimes smoke when I was nervous." "I would usually read in the evenings." Perhaps my sentences are not correct, but in the right context, do you think it can be used?
