Homophones speaking

Choose one of the lines below and say both words there, making sure you keep the pronunciation the same (even if they can sometimes be pronounced differently). Then say one of the two words in context in an example sentence that could not be about the other word on that line, and see if your partner can identify if you chose the version from the A column or the one from the B column. Your partner will tell you if you pronounce the same words differently and/ or if your example sentence could include both homophones, in which case you should try again.
