Please check out the following sentence.

Some people regard the media as the source of social disorder; however, others may regard it as a reflection of a variety of point view.
 
'. . .a variety of points of view.'

(I think.)

The articles read a little wonky to me. Of course you can use either "the variety" or "a variety". Also you can use "a reflection" or "the reflection".


Some people regard the media as the source of social disorder; however, others may regard it as a reflection of a variety of points of view.

This reads to me as having two different registers.
